I wanted to take a minute to catch up the Thomas Coats Family of Lynn before moving on the Charles Coates. The plan, as I think I mentioned is to bring all three families up to the Revolutionary period. I believe we left off with the children of Thomas Coates Jr. Thomas remained in Lynn and had the following children;
John Coats who married Anne Titcomb on 12/8/1725 in New bury. John and Anne settled in Newbury and had the following children;
Anne Coates 8/27/1743
David Coates 7/19/1734- died in infancy
David Coates 10/5/1736 born at Falmouth served as a Captain in the military. He married Mehetable Thirston on 6/24/1765
Elisabeth Coates 12/1/1726 Married Edward Edwards on 2/28/1746
Jonathan Coates 10/5/1730- married Sarah Beckett of Gloucester Mass.. They had 2 sons ( probably other children but these were the only children I could find in the records. )Abraham titcomb Coates born 11/18/1753- died in infancy, Abraham Titcomb Coates born 10/19/1755.
Martha Coates 9/7/1728 Married Mathew Pettingell on 5/27/1752
Mary Coates 8/10/1732- died in childhood
Mary Coates 4/23/1739- Married Daniel Poor on 1/29/1761

James Coates (phillip's twin) born in Newbury on 3/28/1699 married Martha Rhoads on 9/27/1724. James moved his family to Killingly , Windham,Connecticut. He and Martha had the following children;

Hezekiah Coates born 2/8/1762- served in connecticut Militia, Elejs Regiment 11 Mar 1777.
